The Círculo de Empresarios and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) have presented the report “Transformation of the Spanish production model” in which they propose 14 priorities for the necessary economic transformation of Spain. After the terrible human and economic impact of Covid-19, “we must take advantage of this crisis,” says the report, “not only to rebuild what has been destroyed, but to come out of it with a more solid, competitive and sustainable production model.
The report include contributions from top executives from the main sectors of the Spanish economy, all of them members of the Círculo. The document starts from the idea that the world will change as a consequence of this crisis and tries to identify how we must transform our production model to adapt to this new reality. It is about defining how we want Spain to be in the near future by proposing a series of actions to ensure the sustainable growth of our economy and guarantee the resilience of our growth model. These recommendations are directed in two directions: for the private sector, with productivity as an imperative, and for the public sector, so that the State is the facilitator of change.
