(Friday, April 12, 2024) Following a halt to activities owing to two general elections in one year and the subsequent pandemic, the Executives-Parliamentarians Programme (PEP), an initiative promoted by the Círculo de Empresarios, today held the inaugural session of a new phase at the Spanish Parliament (Congreso de los Diputados). The ceremony was presided over by the President of Congress, Francina Armengol, and included the Chairman of the Círculo de Empresarios, Juan María Nin and the member of the PEP’s Advisory Board, José Luis García Delgado.
A total of 149 parliamentarians have already registered and will undertake placements in nearly twenty businesses. Since its foundation in 1987, a total of 1,733 Members of Parliament have participated in the PEP, undertaking placements in more than 80 companies. Many of the aforementioned parliamentarians have completed more than one placement during the same course. The duration of placements varies between four and seven sessions throughout the year, thus enabling participation in the programme.
