PRESENTATION
The Spanish medium-sized company project
The medium-sized Spanish business Project seeks to provide strong arguments that contribute realism to the economic-financial and social analysis of our businesses, to be used in communication with the media, public administration, research centers and the business fabric itself.
The Project is led by the member of the Círculo de Empresarios, Jesús Prieto – President of CT Ingenieros and Yolanda Fernández, who participates in technical management.
The goal of the project is to provide diagnoses that are closer to the reality and dynamics of medium size businesses in Spain. This stems from the conviction that these are the driver of the new business model for economic growth.
The standardization and exploitation of this information enables us to:
– Close the information gap regarding our business fabric
– Position our businesses in a specific segment and have comparables available
– Create a knowledge platform that positions the Círculo de Empresarios as an opinion former with regard to the communications media, Public Administration and the business fabric itself
The standardization of information is an open, iterative process that incorporates available sources of information and surveys regarding medium-sized businesses.
The starting point for the Project is the INFORMA database and, in order to bring together the available information, meetings are being held with experts and institutions that publish statistics. The goal is to act as a platform and connector for the available information and thus bring about the generation of new analyses and policies.
