On October 24, 2012, the VI Course on the Senior Management of Infrastructure and Assets made a visit to The Ferrovial Corporation within the scheduled activities of the said course. They were accompanied by Colonel Hernández Vera, a lecturer in the School for Advanced Studies in Defense (EALEDE).

The Ferrovial Corporation is one of the leading infrastructure management groups in the world, with seventy thousand employees and operating in fifteen countries. It covers four areas of business: Services, Motorways, Construction, and Airports.

The course was received and welcomed by Mr. Manuel Costa, the Director of Institutional Relations of the Corporation. Mr. Juan Elízaga, the Director of Institutional Relations of Ferrovial, then set out a general overview of the business areas of the various companies comprising the group.

Following a brief recess, Ms. María Casero,  the Human Resources Director for airport management, gave a presentation on the airport business area, placing special emphasis on the comprehensive management performed by Ferrovial at Heathrow airport (United Kingdom). Finally, Mr. Juan Ignacio Beltrán, the Managing Director of Ferroser, made a presentation on the comprehensive service business area.

Following these explanations, the students relocated to one of the Control and Works Centers of “la calle 30”, where the comprehensive control and management of the M-30 motorway is performed. Having seen this operational center, they visited a number of facilities.
